Abuse and Neglect Reporting procedures - AB 40 effective January 1, 2013

posted Nov 13, 2012, 7:01 PM by Dio Telmo
When: December 12, 2012
Time: from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m.
Where: 615 California Avenue, Bakersfield

"As you know, the reporting laws have huge implications for the Bakersfield Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies in Kern County.  We need to provide clarification to long term care facility staff so our cops go to where they are badly needed….where crimes are committed.  Sadly, some of these crimes do happen in long term care facilities and your mandate is to report to them simultaneously with our office and the Licensing agencies when the defined conditions in the law exist.

Nona will provide copies of the legislation and a brief guide to help instruct your staff.  Please respond by phone or e-mail if you are attending no later than December 7 by calling 323-7884 and leaving your message with Devora or emailing her at dgonzalez@gbla.org.

Seating is limited.  RSVP requested to provide adequate materials to attendees."
